Neils film

Up shooting the short film, i quickly realized that the film that had originally been intended was not very practical and nearly impossible to shoot with our budget. So the film was re wrote during production. The new plot consists of a man that has lost his house and family due to gambling debts. The actor involved Robert Halogen. The production would be centered around him and he would be the star of the production. His character will have long unkept hair and a beard as well as wearing the same clothes all throughout production to signify that he is unkept and homeless.
The synopsis goes as follows, a man wakes up on a park bench not knowing where he is or how he got there(this is unchanged from the original film). It then precedes to go directly to a flash back of the character gambling with items such as scratch cards and slot machines. After this the character checks his pockets to regain some sense of what happened on the night prior. This provides no clues. He then precedes to watch back camera footage of a local corner shop of which he used to visit with his children. Sure enough, the footage reveals he had been through a heavy night of drinking at an attempt to drown his sorrows. At the end of the film, the man comes to terms with the loss and moves on with his life, without his family.
The name of the film is which was created relating to the picture, is Lucky Lewis. Lucky being a reference to the gambling addiction he suffers through the film.

The costume design for the main and only character would be clothes that would keep you warm, since he lives outside on the streets. His hair and make up would make him look unkept due to the length of his hair and beard.
Many filming locations were used throughout shooting, such as Roberts home, SeaBurn and Sunderland college. They were specifically chosen due to their look and overall appeal, adding different locations to filming

Mystery, Drama man that helps him outrun the police and the government. Phone boxes, ID badges, hats A man enters a shop and purchases supplies used to disappear, such as hair dye, sunglasses and hats He meets someone that helps him avoid the police for a crime which he was falsely convicted off  The film ends with the convict escaping and the audience never fining out if he truly escapes or if he gets captured Extras and actors will be used to make this short film The locations used would be barns park, Sunderland interchange and Sunderland college A mysterious man (our lead character (our main protagonist) enters a shop to purchase items -he is confronted by a customer who claims to know him yet he has no reelection of ever knowing him (the customer, Daniel joins the story) -they journey to a phone box to entre a number the main character found in his jacket pocket, not knowing how it got there or who’s number it is, the number is called and the police surround the area Sound The sounds used I this film would largely be non-diegetic, and the audience wouldn’t know what they’re hearing, much like the main character not knowing who he is. The plot to this film is much like that off The Bourne Identity. A man with a mysterious past is hunted by police/government and doesn’t remember or know why.

Upon trying to shoot this film, I quickly realised that our budget and the time available for the project made the vision I had as director almost impossible. Due to this the script was changed. The new script, which was centred around a gambling addict that is depressed about the loss of his wife and son due to his addiction, this causes him to take up drinking and becomes and an alcoholic.
The main actor in this production, fellow class member Robert.
The film beggins with an opening mid shot of Robert (character named Lewis) looking dazed and confused. It then cuts to black and reads 'Two weeks earlier'. Following this, it shows 'Lewis' and his gambling addiction, this shot is of the character using a starch card. It then shows Lewis failing to win anything on said scratch card. Much later (after many months of gambling with little to no success) he receives a text message from his wife and son, this character is portrayed by Josh Pool. The text explains to Lewis that his wife simply cannot stand his addictions anymore. It then shows multiple shots of Lewis drinking. After a heated argument with his friend which eventually came to a physical fight, he decides to quit drinking and gambling for good. It then cuts to black and reads 'After a long hard look at himself, Lewis decided to attend a twelve step rehabilitation program, as well as this he decided to start a talking group of his own to help anyone with his affliction. The final shot in the film is a mimicking shot of 'AA member' portrayed by Mitchell, the camera follows Mitchell through a door way to a room with chairs set in a circle, the door then closes and a sign reads ' Lewis's alcohol and gambling rehabilition centre'. Then the credits roll to Oasis's song 'Supersonic'.
